In 1971, mainstream medicine cast aside a Nobel Prize-winning chemist Linus Pauling’s proof that vitamin C kills cancer cells.

Around the same time, Big Pharma was busy developing expensive “cancer fighting” drugs that are now used by the mainstream as their only weapon to combat various forms of the disease.

Can this be a coincidence?

The good news is, Big Pharma’s big bucks haven’t stopped all research into vitamin C, and can’t stop you from using it to prevent cancer.

There’s a stout group within the scientific community that is still treating tumors with vitamin C. And today, their work is paying off despite the medical establishment’s best efforts.

Many studies today are still finding that vitamin C causes cancer cells to die.

They’re even helping the mainstream kill cancer more effectively using high doses of intravenous vitamin C, which can increase the cancer-killing effects of chemotherapy drugs. Vitamin C can also help reduce the toxic treatment’s effect on human health. The National Cancer Institute has acknowledged the effectiveness of vitamin C in fighting cancer.

There are still scientists asleep to the powerful effects of vitamin C in fighting cancer, as The Los Angeles Times noted last year: “Even though the research seems to offer the promise of effectiveness for a new method of cancer treatment, vitamin C, or ascorbate, is unlikely to inspire the vigorous, and expensive, research necessary to become an approved tumor remedy, experts say.”

Why?

The LA Times continues: “Due to … the inability of pharmaceutical companies to patent an essential nutrient, vitamin C is among the unlikeliest compounds to attract funding for cancer research.”

In other words, Big Pharma can’t make any money from vitamin C, so they put no money into finding out what Linus Pauling knew over 40 years ago, and what alternative doctors have known for years.

We’re very deficient in vitamin C, and getting enough of it is a powerful cancer preventative.

Spend just a brief amount of time and you’ll see new studies that show people who get the most vitamin C have a 30 percent lower risk for pancreatic cancer, and a 42 percent lower risk for esophageal cancer, and that vitamin C reduces colorectal cancer tumors.

Make sure you get as much vitamin C through food as you can. That way, you get all the micronutrients that help with absorption, and the co-factors that nature intended for your body. The best common fruit source is the guava with 228 mg in 1 serving. One medium papaya has 168 mg … far more than the orange. Peppers, sprouts, broccoli strawberries and pineapples are also good natural vitamin C sources.

To get the full 3-5 grams of vitamin C you need for optimal health (Linus Pauling took 10 grams a day and he lived to be 93) supplementing is good. And studies show it is equally well absorbed from a solution, caplets, and chewable tablets, although the absorption from a timed-release capsule was 50% lower.

Editor’s Note: Did you know that as many as 91 percent of oncologists would refuse conventional treatment if they faced a cancer diagnoses? They would never tell you this, but many would pursue natural treatments … to discover what these natural treatments are, and how you can fight and prevent cancer with vitamin C and other natural cancer fighters, click here for Dr. Michael Cutler’s exclusive guide to fighting and surviving cancer.
